Teaching Philosophy

Music is many things, but mostly it is an expressive outlet and means of connecting to oneself and others.

I believe every student has the means to succeed, but their journey to success – whether fully met or not – is the most important aspect. Skills such as self-discovery, patience, expressing oneself, communication, time management, and self-discipline are some of the most important aspects of music my students will learn, all of which can be applied to their daily lives. I believe in assisting their journey through creating a safe, patient, and enthusiastic space in which each student is able to thrive in their own unique way.

It is my goal as a teacher to help my students, no matter age or musical background, access their talents, whether strictly music-related or not, and help them be able to utilize their skills in connection, interaction, and expression.
